New moon in Sagittarius

We’ve made it through the transformative waters of Scorpio and have reached the mutable fiery energy of Sagittarius. It’s time to re-ignite the spark and to rise again.

Sagittarius is represented by the archer who aims his arrow at the truth. A centaur, half man, half horse; symbolising both the attempt to free oneself from man’s lower nature of animal desire, as well as his spiritual aspirations.

I suggest at this time, that it might serve us better to take aim within. Seeking any self imposed sense of limitation, anything less than love, reflecting on our self worth and asking ourselves if there’s anything preventing us from aiming high and having the faith in ourselves, to get to where we want to go. Knowing that we can take the high road and setting sights on how we might apply ourselves to our purpose, our mission.

Sagittarius is the sign of the wisdom seeker and vision quester, represented in Tarot by card 14. Temperance.

You can see in this card, one foot in the water of the emotion and feelings, and one on the physical Earthly realm. All elements are represented in this card and the pour and flow between the cups suggests the alchemical process, indicating that you’ve been “tempered” and strengthened, and are now able to bring balance, patience and moderation to your life.

Sit with closed eyes

Place your hands on your Hara (power centre) just below the belly button

Tune into this energy centre and imagine a spark igniting within

Visualise this spark becoming a small flame

Feel the warmth of this flame and see or feel it growing until you feel it warming your entire body

This fire is purifying

Feel it remove any limitations, any inner chains

It tempers

It is also your fuel

It empowers

See yourself as the archer, bow and arrow in hand

The arrow is your seed

Bring to mind’s eye your vision of renewed purpose
